About us

Newell Cobb bought the Intracoastal City Drydock & Shipbuildng Inc. Who is a well-known shipyard specializing in building and repairing vessels like barges, cargo ships, naval vessels, passenger ships, and offshore platforms for the oil & gas industry, offering services from general shipbuilding to complex industrial projects with multiple dry docks and cranes operating in the heart of Louisiana's maritime region.


Additionally Newell Cobb can also build recycling equipment like Shredders and Spare Parts, Pre-Shredders, Sensor Sorting Equipments, Eddy Currents, LIBs, XRF, Balers, Shears etc. for metal and automobile recycling.

Scott Newell

Scott Newell is an expert in the recycling industry, designs, manufactures, operates metal and automobile recycling plants more than 60 years. Coaching others how to operate more efficiently. 

Clyde Cobb

Clyde Cobb is a Captain (Merchant), Master of Barge, Dredge, High risk Martine, High risk scarp, Inland Management and Crane 50 to 500 tons. Reserch and proceurement of barges, ships, vessels, cranes and equipment. Estimate cost and summary of equipment, refurbishment and perfection.

Scotty Newell III

Scotty Newell III, son of Scott Newell, more than 40 years in recycling industry, build, operate shredding plants, manage and purchase as well as analysis all projects to be best return of investment. Chairman of BIR shredder committee.
